AFFORDABLE ART eXHIBITION AT cANWOOD GALLERYI am delighted to be one of 20 artists taking part in the Affordable Art Exhibition now open at Canwood Gallery, Checkley, Herefordshire,HR1 4NF. The gallery is situated in a beautiful rural location featuring a sculpture park with an on-site cafe - perfect for taking a break after viewing the wonderfully diverse art on display. I am exhibiting a collection of my botanical and woodland prints on HD metal (frameless for a contemporary look and suitable for indoor or outdoor hanging). There is also a selection of my greeting cards and notebooks available to buy. I will be stewarding on Friday September 19th so if you're in the area, it would be lovely to see you!
Exhibition Dates: 31 July – 22 September 2025 Thursday to Sunday, 11am – 4pm NB: Herefordshire Art Week (h.Art) 6 – 14 September Open Daily, 11am – 5pm during h.Art week I recently collaborated with an amazing jazz musician from Montreal, Gabriel Genest , who asked to use some of my images as the cover art for his new album and two singles. I am delighted with the results and I am sure the album will be a big success for Gabriel!
Gabriel has used "Song for Autumn" (one of my favourite images) for the album cover of "As It Is" to be released on May 14th 2024. "Ode To A Leaf" (one of my cyanolumen prints) has been used for the cover of "Kairos" (single) and "Pirouette" has been used for "She Let Go" (single) You can listen to the first single "Kairos" HERE and the album will be available from all usual music platforms. I am grateful to all the visitors to our group exhibition at May Hill Church (where I was exhibiting with three other talented artists, Myra Fricker, Von Feathers and Di Weissberg of Printed Up Clothing)
I met so many lovely people (and their dogs too) on the days I was stewarding and had many interesting chats. Thank you so much to all those who purchased my work (even small purchases like a pack of cards can make a difference to an artist like me). Huge thanks also to everybody involved in organising such a successful event (especially Caroline at May Hill Church and all the farOpen Team). Pictured below is Nothing Gold Can Stay, one of my framed, limited edition prints which sold during farOpen week.
