ECHOES OF istanbul

I recently spent a few days with a friend in Istanbul, the city where East meets West. I have visited this fascinating city before some years ago and loved it then so was very happy for the chance of another visit. It is an intriguing melting pot of the ancient and modern with it's mix of Asian and European influences, often chaotic and sometimes overwhelming but also very beautiful. A city of contrasts and one that can't really be explored in depth in just a few days so I definitely hope to return one day!
