meditation on waterlilies
One of my favourite walks in the Forest of Dean takes me around a small, fishing lake - it is usually a peaceful space even though it is close to an industrial site. There are large swathes of waterlilies on one side of the lake which always draw my attention, even when not in flower. I love the shape of waterlily pads and the way they are constantly moving and changing colour through the seasons. I could watch them for hours - their gentle movement has a calming, almost hypnotic effect on my usually far too busy brain.
