Woodland Ponds & Lakes
I find being near water very calming and often seek out watery places on my woodland walks or when I'm travelling. In the Forest of Dean where I live, there are many small ponds and lakes, reminders of the mining industry (when they were used to supply water to the mines). These days they are used for fishing or form part of nature reserves - some are scruffy and hidden from view but are none the less interesting to me. All of the images in this collection were made at or near these woodland areas of water.
