Mixed Media collage 

A few of my collage experiments (mostly in a sketchbook) made using a combination of hand-painted Japanese washi papers, gelli prints and my own photos, inspired by Donna Watson's beautifully designed online course The Way of Wabi Sabi (on the Take Two platform) I am really enjoying this experimental process, letting go of the unattainable goal of perfection and just playing with shapes, colours and textures (and also using my own photos in a way which doesn't involve too much staring at a computer screen) These small collage pieces still reflect my love of nature (particularly my local woodlands) and although I initially tried to keep to the wabi sabi aesthetic of more muted colours, brighter blues and greens just keep on sneaking in!
