Metalwork
Living in a rural area close to miles of woodland, it is perhaps inevitable that much of my artwork is inspired by nature. However I have always been drawn to patterns, shapes and colours and these can of course be found in man-made subjects. My favourite man-made surface is metal, particularly rusting metal which can often be found out in the landscape, on fencing or on ageing structures such as barns and sheds (and sadly on items which have been fly-tipped into the environment or abandoned for other reasons).
